The Story: This on location photoshoot will be based on a story of Navajo families reuniting after some time away. Historically, Navajo people lived far away from each other on the vast open country of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. Still connected through clans, families would disperse far from each other and periodically reunite in large gatherings. This traditional kinship scene will be the story line of this photoshoot.

The Models: 15-20 models will be present and dressed in traditional Navajo clothing. Horses, sheep, camps, and other gear will be available to be used in the scene. Models will consist mainly of families. From elders to children, men and women.

The Location: Shiprock is located in northwestern New Mexico and holds special meaning for the Navajo people. It used to be the location of important meetings and kinship gatherings. About half an hour west of Farmington New Mexico and three hours and thirty minutes northwest from Albuquerque. Easily accessible with clear roads and good cell reception.

The Time: Initial gathering is scheduled for 2 p.m. Shooting hours is scheduled for 3 p.m. to nightfall which would be around 8 p.m.

The Results: What you can expect during this afternoon is access to all models, your own moments of private shooting, your own areas of shooting as you can take models to different spots within the general area of production. There will be a loose and general flow of schedule to carry on the story line but will be punctuated with moments of creativity and exploration. Jeremy Salazar of Three Feather Studios will share insights in his creative process and give guidance on how you can set your own scene. All content created will belong to you.

This unique half day event is priced at $1,800. Payment plan of half deposit is available if needed. Remaining deposit is required after two weeks of initial payment. If payment plan is chosen, there will be a 25 percent nonrefundable fee in case of cancelation.
